Terms and conditions

Free, the trial, and lifetime membership.

These terms are between you and FULLFORCE LTD for use of locallock.app. They describe the product as it works. They are not a solicitor’s opinion on your documents.

1. The operator

locallock.app is operated by FULLFORCE LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 14751157, registered office 2nd Floor, College House, 17 King Edwards Road, Ruislip, London, HA4 7AE, United Kingdom.

2. The service

The vault encrypts files in your browser and stores them on that device. There is no account. FULLFORCE LTD does not receive your documents, password, or emergency code, and cannot open the vault or reset it.

3. Free and the trial

A new vault includes Pro for 14 days, counted from the moment it is created in that browser. During the trial you can seal folders, batch files, and send a sealed backup. When the trial ends, Free remains: 8 documents, 20 MB each, one file at a time, opened with the password or the emergency code.

4. After the trial

Pro features stop when the 14 days end. Documents already sealed stay on the device and still open. You cannot add past the free limits, seal a folder, or use backup, a PIN, or device unlock until lifetime membership is paid. This does not delete sealed files.

5. Lifetime membership

After the trial, membership is $29 once, charged in US dollars through Stripe Checkout. After a successful payment, this browser stores that membership is paid and the vault stays open. It is tied to this browser, not to an account you can sign in elsewhere. Card details are handled by Stripe, not typed into the vault.

If checkout is not connected on a particular server, membership cannot be bought there. The trial clock still runs.

6. Your responsibilities

You choose the password and you keep the emergency code. If both are lost, the vault cannot be opened by you or by FULLFORCE LTD. You are responsible for the computer, the browser, and anyone you allow to use them. Do not seal material you have no right to hold.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the site to break the law, to probe the service, or to interfere with anyone else’s use of it. The vault is a local tool. Misuse of a file after you open it is yours.

8. Availability and loss

Browser storage can be cleared by the browser, by a cleanup tool, or by you. That can delete the local vault. FULLFORCE LTD does not promise that a device, a browser, or Stripe will be available without interruption, and does not insure the contents of a vault.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that the law of England and Wales does not allow to be limited. Subject to that, FULLFORCE LTD is not liable for loss of documents, loss of a password, or loss of profit arising from use of the vault.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. The privacy policy and cookie notice apply alongside these terms.
